Why are we living on a boat?

We decided to leave our brick-and-mortar home for a floating teak and plastic one. Our children have just started college and although we shared the same house, we rarely saw them so busy are they with school, work and friends. We saw an empty nest looming ahead and decided to be the first ones to fly the coop.

As they begin their adventure into adulting and independence, we too are starting a new chapter of our own. We are sure it will be full of challenges, unique experiences (and lots of laughs).

Why are we writing a blog?

While the intent of this blog is to document our journey for ourselves, we hope our friends and family enjoy it as well.
